Plescoi Sausages

It is not easy to obtain from the villagers of Plescoi the exact recipe for these #sausages. The right balance of beef and sheep, together with a special mix of salt, pepper, garlic, chili, and summer savory, followed by air-drying and smoking gives them a unique taste and flavour. The traditional production method is recognized at European level, making the Plescoi Sausages from Buzau one of the very few Romanian food products with Protected Geographical Indication (PGI).
